So, there it is – my fave 25 #OzRomance set in Australia reads. How many have you read?
To win an e-copy of my latest novella, Rescued, set on the gorgeously iconic Bondi Beach and an e-copy of book one in the Capello Brothers series Draw On My Heart, simply enter my Rafflecopter competition:
Now if you head over to Book’d Out, you’ll be able to see tons of posts from other Aussie authors many (perhaps all) of whom are offering books as giveaways.
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!
Hi Jaimee, what a lovely giveaway! I admit to a bias, because Anna Cowan is a good friend of mine, and I really did enjoy her Untamed, which I got to read or hear about at several different stages.
Another author I love is Brian Caswell – he doesn’t seem to be writing so much these days, but his young adult fiction (especially Merryll of the Stones) was just lovely, and had a beautifully Australian feel. And I still have a nostalgic love for the Norah of Billabong books, though one does have to read them with one’s historian’s glasses on…
Thanks for stopping by, Catherine and for your lovely comment. I will look up Untamed and grab a copy 🙂
I just finished reading The Yearning by Kate Belle. My review will go live next week. I have heard of some of the other books on that list but have yet to read them.
Will be entering your giveaway 🙂
I loved The Yearning, can’t wait to read your review. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Loved looking at your top 25! I’ve read 6, and have 6 more on the shelf to read – I think I need to improve!
Thank you for a lovely giveaway 🙂
Oh I don’t know – 12 out of 25 is pretty good going! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I think you are one of the most generous author/blogger/reviewers out there J’aaime. I was so stoked (cos we’re aussies today – I can be ‘stoked’ or ‘rapt’) that you gave me a shout out for Fairway To Heaven on release day – and I’m so stoked to have His Brand Of Beautiful on your Top 25 list. So here’s to you on Australia Day – I’ll be buying Rescued because I want those ‘buns’ permanently at a place near me!
Oh thanks Lily, you are too kind-I love supporting fellow Aussies in any way I can but writing/reading is a firm favourite. Love to hear your thoughts on Rescued 🙂
I have a few on that great list. Look forward to reading more.
Hi Eleni, I did love putting this list together – so much talent in Australia particularly in the Arts
I’ve only got one book on this list, I’m going to have to get busy!
Hi Karla, there are *so* many fabulous Aussie authors out there at the moment and a couple of online reading comps to get people into reading Aussie authors-such great ideas. J’aimee
Fabulous post, J’Aimee. I’m having a ball visiting everyone’s posts for this All Aussie Blog Hop. For mine, I did a little trip down memory lane. 😉 Not that my memory is all that great these days, but some things stand out as beacons. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Australia Day.
Thanks, Noelle. Hope you had a wonderful long weekend 🙂
I don’t think I’ve read any of these! My fave romantic reads by Aussie authors would have to be anything by Kate Morton and “The Girl in Steel-Capped Boots” by Loretta Hill.
Ooh, I do love Kate Morton’s writing too. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Haven’t read these
I know a few people who will love this list. I started my current novel eight months ago – not much time for reading here at the moment. Hopefully once the kids are older!
Thanks for joining the Australia Day Party!
Cheers,
Amanda
